New Learning Packs

20th Apr 2020

Dear Parents, we hope you had an enjoyable Easter break and everyone is safe and well. We still miss you all! Unfortunately our school is still closed and as much as we wish things were back to normal, we must adhere to the restrictive measures for the foreseeable future.

New learning packs will be available this Friday 24th April for all children. These can be collected from the school hall at the following times. Reception/Y1 9.30am. Year2/3 10am. Year 4/5 10.30am. Year 6/7 11am. Can all reading books which were previously given out including those still in school bags, please be returned this Friday. The class teachers will tick off the child's name when the books are handed back. Please adhere to social distancing when collecting books and only 2 families at a time may enter the hall at a time. Please exit the hall via the side door. Parents with children in multiple classes can collect their children's work in one visit.

The children's work will be laid out on tables in the school hall, clearly labelled. The packs from family groups will be together.  This work is being sent home to help support your child's learning however this is a difficult and challenging time for all and no family is to feel under pressure to complete what is being given. You know your child best and as their parent you can decide what activities they can undertake.

For those children who wish to be challenged further, a home learning section is now on the website under 'Home Learning' and extra activities will be placed or appropriate websites given to assist your child's learning starting next Monday 27th April. This is primarily for Years 4-7 and is NOT compulsory. This is only for those children who have completed all other activities from the learning pack and who wish to do further tasks.

The whole staff would like to let our families know just how much we miss all of our pupils and parents. Being in school without our children is very strange and we cannot wait for the day when our doors will be reopened and we see all our smiling and happy children coming back to us.

The staff would like to extend their huge appreciation and thanks to all our parents for your understanding and overwhelming support during this difficult time. We will continue to keep you all in our prayers and hope you all remain safe.
